Fun at a Local Farm
Wow. It's so nice to see that food doesn't always come in boxes or bars. Here's the real deal. Fresh air. Fresh food. The intoxicating smell of freshly baked apple pies...
We checked out Quinn Farms. This multi-purpose farm has several types of apples, pumpkins, squash, and Christmas Trees. We climbed up a couple of their trees to reach the red, juicy treats. For $1 each you get a round trip wagon ride out to the fields and orchards. For $9 you buy a bag that you can fill with 18 POUNDS of apples. Then, once you're good and hungry, you hit the bakery. The pies sell so fast, the women working there complain that they burn their hands because they are so hot! If these delicious pies are not enough for you, there are also soups, sauces, juices, spreads and more.
Overall, this was a great fall experience. Highly recommended.
