Dog Sledding
Everyone needs to go dog sledding at some point in there life. Its an fantastic experience and a great way to enjoy the winter. I'm not even a big dog person, but the huskies are great dogs, and very friendly.
For our adventure we went with Domaine la truite du Parc, located 30 minutes from Quebec city. We picked them because of the "Dancing with the Stars" package, which is a two day package where you drive your dogsled up a mountain, eat a fantastic home cooked meal, then sleep outside in a tipi. I thought the sleeping part would be very cold, but to my surprise we were very warm thanks to the super heavy duty sleeping bag they give you. Our guide was really friendly and the food was plentiful and very tasty.
One thing about dog sledding that I never imagined, is there is actual a good chance of getting hurt. We wiped out on our sled a few times and got a few injuries. The worst one was a head on collision with a tree while going down a steep hill.
